English Director Gives Yale Talk

NEW YORK — The subject of Alfred Hitchcock's lecture at Yale on Friday was "The Making of Melodrama and the Creation of Suspense." He will talk before the students at the School of Drama the branch of the University which grew out of the original famous "47 Workshop."

Hitchcock, best known for his direction of "The Lady Vanishes," "The 39 Steps" and "Secret Agent," arrived on the Queen Mary March 9 en route to Hollywood for his first American directorial assignment under the banner of David O Selznick.
