THIS WEEK'S FILMS.

MISS NITA NALDI IN A HUMAN ROLE.

MR MALCOLM KEEN'S SCREEN CHARM.

As the favourite topic of conversation among men and women of all ages, whether in drawing-rooms, parlours, kitchens, or attics, seems at the moment to be films, and particularly British films, it is to bo expected that "The Mountain Eagle," which comes to the cinemas this week, will attract an amount of attention.

The second picture made by Mr. Alfred Hitchcock, whose third picture, "The Lodger," was really quite interesting, "The Mountain Eagle" was produced on the Continent. It is full of character though undramatic, and reveals the screen-charm and considerable talent for film acting of Mr. Malcolm Keen.

Mr. Bernhard Goetzke, well remembered for his appearance as Death in "Destiny," is sincere and powerful as Mr. Keen's protagonist, while Miss Nita Naldi gives the only human performance in all her career and does not "vamp "at all.
