"EASY VIRTUE " FILMED.

A new English film was trade-shown at the London Hippodrome yesterday under the title " Easy Virtue " — based on the play by Mr. Noel Coward.

Mr. Alfred Hitchcock, who made the film, has done it well. Perhaps Miss Isabel Jeans was not quite a perfect choice for the unhappy Larita, though her work is sound. Besides, what other English film actress could have interpreted this difficult role?

The ungrateful role of the hero is carried off passably by Mr. Robin Irvine, whom the director did not permit to earn much sympathy, but the mother of Miss Violet Farebrother was violent.
