Elizabeth Pappritz

(Redirected from Elisabeth Pappritz)

Biography

According to an October 1925 edition of the Deutsche Filmwoche ("German Film Week") magazine, Pappritz played the uncredited role of the "Native Girl" in Alfred Hitchcock's 1925 film The Pleasure Garden — a role sometimes incorrectly credited to American actress Nita Naldi.[1]

The most widely known anecdote about Pappritz is Hitchcock's recollection that she was unable to film the scene where Miles Mander drowns her character and a local hotel waitress was hired to stand in for her.[2]

Seemingly, little else is know about Pappritz acting career.
