James Costigan

Biography

James Costigan was an American television actor and Emmy Award-winning television screenwriter. His writing credits included the television movies Eleanor and Franklin and Love Among the Ruins.

In May 1977, Costigan was hired to write the screenplay for Alfred Hitchcock's 54th film, The Short Night. The director soon decided that their partnership wasn't working and Costigan left the project. Ernest Lehman, Norman Lloyd and David Freeman all subsequently worked with Hitchcock on the pre-production of the film before he finally abandoned it completely in mid-1979.
