Phoenix, Arizona

Phoenix is the capital, and largest city, of the State of Arizona.

With nearly 1,500,000 people, Phoenix is the most populous state capital in the United States, as well as the sixth most populous city nationally, after (in order) New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, and Philadelphia.

Jefferson Hotel

Located on Central Avenue and Jefferson Street, the Jefferson Hotel was built in 1915 and was used for the external establishing shots at the beginning of Psycho.

The building is now known as the Barrister Place Building and is currently the home to the Phoenix Police Museum.[1] As of 2014, the city council approved plans for the building to be renovated.[2]
