Martha Jones (b. 1776) née Hitchcock

Martha Hitchcock married cooper Thomas Jones in 1798 in Dedham, Essex, and they settled in Sudbury, Suffolk, where they had at least 4 known children.

At some point between 1810 and 1841, the family moved to Bethnal Green, East London, where Thomas continued to work as a cooper.

She likely died in 1854, aged 79.

  2. This seems unlikely to be their son George, who would have been aged 31, so probably the two Georges were lodgers.
