Alfred Hitchcock Presents - The Landlady

"The Landlady" was originally broadcast on 21/Feb/1961 as part of the sixth season of Alfred Hitchcock Presents.

The story was later refilmed for Roald Dahl's UK TV series "Tales of the Unexpected".

Billy Weaver gets a room at an unusual boarding house. The landlady claims that there are other tenants in the building, but Billy never sees anyone. Later, the landlady invites him over for tea. He comments about a stuffed bird and the landlady tells him that she stuffs all her pets after the die. Billy later realizes that his drink has been poisoned and that he is about to join the landlady's collection. (TV.com)
