- It seems likely Jane Elizabeth Hitchcock had left home by the time of the 1841 Census, when she would have been aged 15. Several "Jane Hitchcock"s are listed as probably working as domestic servants for the following couples: Henry & Elizabeth Seward (Blackman Street, St Mary Newington), William & Jane Burnham (Parsonage Row, St Mary Newington) and William & Elizabeth Milman (Pinner Grove, Harrow on the Hill, Hendon).
- A "Jane Elizabeth Hitchcock" married in 1846, but it is currently uncertain who the husband was.
