On 17th January 1952, Alfred Hitchcock's daughter Patricia married Joseph O'Connell at the Our Lady Chapel in St. Patrick's Cathedral, New York.

North by Northwest (1959)

New York City was one of the filming locations used for North by Northwest.

Plaza Hotel

The Plaza Hotel is used twice during the film — firstly near the start, when Roger Thornhill is abducted from the Oak Bar, and then later when he is searching George Kaplan's hotel room with his mother.

Old Westbury Gardens

The exterior of Westbury House was used as the location of Lester Townsend's house.

United Nations

Grand Central Station

After the assassination at the United Nations, Thornhill goes on the run and catches the 20th Century Limited train to Chicago from Grand Central Station.

Topaz (1969)

LaGuardia International Airport

André and Nicole Devereaux meet their daughter Michèle and son-in-law François Picard in a scene staged at the airport. At the start of the scene, Hitchcock made his cameo appearance, as a man in a wheelchair. Although possibly filmed on a studio set, the level of authentic detail is surprisingly high so was seemingly filmed on location.[1]
