Richard E. Decker

Richard E. Decker was the initial publisher of the "Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine" and edited it until 1964. His wife Gladys, was also involved in the publication.

Decker had approached Hitchcock in the mid 1950s and negotiated for the use of the director's name for the magazine. Typically, whenever he lent his name to a product, Hitchcock would receive both a licensing fee and a percentage of the royalties.
