Hitchcock's Films

The Paradine Case (1947)

About 38 minutes into the film, Anthony Keane (Gregory Peck) travels north to Cumbria to visit Hindley Hall. Rydal Water is seen in an initial establishing shot and was filmed by a second unit team under instruction from Hitchcock.[1]

According to author Gary Giblin, Hitchcock had scouted for filming locations in Cumbria during May 1946 with unit manager Fred Ahern.
