The Globe is an English public house located opposite the Royal Opera House at 37 Bow Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2E 7AU. A pub has existed on the site since the 17th century.

Hitchcock's Films

Frenzy (1972)

The exterior appears in several scenes in the film and it is the pub in which Richard Blaney (Jon Finch) works at the beginning of the film. The pub's landlord is played by Bernard Cribbins.

The interior scenes were filmed at Pinewood Studios on August 12th, 13th and 16th, 1971. Production designer Syd Cain then repurposed much of the set for the interior scenes of Nell of Old Drury.[1]

In Arthur La Bern's original original novel, the pub that the character Richard Blamey works in is called "The Spotted Wonder", which is likely a reference to the Irish racehorse The Tetrarch.[2]
