The following major Hitchcock films were originally released as silent films, with no spoken dialogue (relevant DVDs are listed further down the page):

Any DVD releases of the above films will either be silent, or will contain a musical soundtrack (typically piano or selected pieces of classical music). The films will typically use intertitle cards.

Blackmail (1929) was released in two differing versions -- one with audio and the more rarely seen silent version. Although both versions are similar, the "talkie" version required reshoots and is therefore noticeably different in some sections to the silent version.
