Foreign Correspondent (1940) - on set

During filming, cinematographer Rudolph Maté was excused for an hour in order to become an American citizen. When he returned, cast and crew celebrated with a special luncheon. In the foreground (L-R) are Carol Stevens, Joan Harrison, Alfred Hitchcock and Maté (holding his citizenship scroll).
