The Alfred Hitchcock Hour - Night Caller

(Redirected from Night Caller)

"Night Caller" was originally broadcast on 31/Jan/1964 as part of the second season of The Alfred Hitchcock Hour.

Marcia Fowler accuses a neighborhood boy named Roy Bullock of being a peeping tom. Roy denies it and manages to ingratiate himself with Marcia's husband Jack and her lonely stepson. When Marcia gets an obscene phone call, she tells Jack the caller was Roy. Roy denies it, and tells Jack that Marcia might simply be looking for attention. After Jack goes away on a business trip, Marcia recieves another obscene phone call. She confronts Roy, who tells her that she is a tease and both an improper wife and a lousy mother. Marcia grows fearful that Roy is crazy when he tells her that his mother was just like her. She grabs a gun convinced that he is the prank caller and kills him. Just as he is about to die, the phone rings and Marcia hears the obscene caller again. (TV.com)
