Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine (May 1969)

Details

Introduction

Dear Reader:

This would seem the logical season in which to wonder what I will spring on you next. The surprises are indeed infinite herein, as ever, and they continue the tradition of this magazine. However, you should expect no further clues from me, except a mention of a few of the people you will meet, as created by some of the foremost mystery writers.

Consider, for example, a best-selling author, a confidence racket team, a hard-bitten business speculator, a blackmailer, a handicapped veteran of some wealth ... If these arouse your curiosity, just remember there are many more.

My forecast for your reading days immediately ahead is for cold hands, chills through the spinal region, and tremors of the knees. Be glad it is only fiction — but lock your doors tonight.
