Originally built as Kensington Parish Workhouse, St. Mary Abbot's Hospital, Marloes Road, Kensington, London, functioned from 1871 to 1992. The area has been rebuilt as luxury apartments, in a gated community known as Stone Hall Gardens.

After tumbling down the steps at Wormwood Scrubs, Blaney is taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital (implied as being Hammersmith Hospital).
The exterior of St. Mary Abbot's was used for footage of Blaney entering and then escaping from the hospital, with both scenes filmed on the night of 16 September 1971. The hospital ward itself was built on Stage D of Pinewood Studios[1]
